Suspended somewhere between New Jersey and Brooklyn, between Bruce Ratner and Mikhail Prokhorov, the Nets are orphans. They're probably not going to be very good and will play before a lot of mostly empty houses. That's too bad, writes Dave D'Alessandro. The Nets could be "interesting and entertaining—at times, enthralling" ...and one of their number, Brook Lopez, could turn out to be something very special.
