Not only did the Nets get their first and only win of the preseason at Carnesecca Arena on Friday night, but they looked dominant in doing so, trouncing the Sixers 110-88. They took control late in the first quarter and never looked back, leading by 13 at halftime and by as many as 26 in the fourth quarter. The small lineup was effective against the similarly athletic Sixers and the Nets got out in transition, shooting 51% from the field while also putting together their best defensive effort, holding Philly to just 40%. Terrence Williams led the way with 23 points, five rebounds, eight assists, four steals, and several highlights. Yi Jianlian finished 22 points and 11 boards, and four other Nets finished in double figures. Among them, Jarvis Hayes who returned from a shin injury to go 4-4 and 11 points.
