A Sports Business Journal survey of local television ratings finds that the Nets' ratings this season have dropped 7.1% while the Knicks' numbers are up 3.6%. Overall, the Knicks' ratings are double the Nets'. A few years ago, the two were neck-and-neck. A YES ad salesman described the network's ad sales as "so-so" since the economy fell last fall. He added that the Nets are not alone, that the NBA is a hard sell locally.
