Celtics Blow Out Nets

New, comments

It was not a good start to the Nets' five-game stretch against the league's best. The Nets got clobbered in Boston Wednesday night, shooting just 39 percent from the field and turning the ball over 20 times. The Nets led for all of 24 seconds in the first quarter, and trailed by seven after one and by 10 at halftime. A 13-3 Celtics run to start the third period put the game away early. Boston shot 56 percent from the field, 12-22 from three point range and had six players in double figures. It was the third game of the season where Vince Carter, who shot just 1-for-10 from the field and left the game briefly with a leg injury, scored four points or less. Devin Harris led the Nets with 17 points, while Keyon Dooling, Brook Lopez and Ryan Anderson added 13 apiece. Lopez shot just 4-for-14 from the field, but added eight boards and five blocks in 31 minutes.
