Critics of the Barclays Center have yet to win in court but they keep trying. It's a strategy based on a hope that the economy will do for them what the law has not. Now, in the last stages of their legal fight, they have filed suit claiming Ratner and New York State cannot condemn property because it violates the state constitution. Some legal scholars think it gives them a chance. Ratner's lawyers disagree.
