The Nets are reportedly close to a deal with the Magic and Keyon Dooling that would bring the combo guard to New Jersey, though Orlando GM Otis Smith says he knows nothing about it. The Nets would send their $3.3 million trade exception (from the Jason Kidd trade) to Orlando in a sign-and-trade and Dooling would get a three-year contract worth more than $10 million, with the third year partially guaranteed. The deal could be a further indication that Marcus Williams isn't in the Nets' plans.
