French swingman Nicholas Batum decided against working out with the Nets Friday after a "borderline" reading on an echo-cardiogram earlier this week. "There is an issue with Batum, and nothing is clear," his agent, Bouna Ndiaye, told ESPN Friday. The result is particularly problematic if there's a family history of cardiac problems. Batum's father collapsed and died playing basketball 17 years ago.
