Larry Brown is bemused by all the attempts at manipulation by draft prospects and their agents, so much so that he recalled one of his favorite stories about the draft. In 1997, his Sixers had the #2 pick, but Keith Van Horn's agent called and said don't even think about drafting him: He has a deal with Nike but only "if he played in New Jersey or Boston." Van Horn got his wish.
