Vandeweghe Named General Manager

New, comments

The Nets announced Thursday afternoon that Kiki Vandeweghe has been promoted to General Manager, with contract length reported at two and four years. Vandeweghe was hired by Rod Thorn on Dec. 31 as a "Special Assistant to the President". He now officially fills the spot left open when Ed Stefanski left for Philadelphia and is expected to eventually take over for Thorn. He said the Nets should try "improving on the guys you got" before looking outside, adding "we'd like to keep everybody".
