Since Jason Kidd went south (in so many ways), it's been up to Vince Carter to fill a lot of voids on the Nets. Statistically, he's done well. In spite of a bum ankle that will need surgery, he's averaged 23.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 4.9 assists since mid-February ... and 29.5, 6.8 and 5.1 in the last 10. What's the point? Carter tells Dave D'Alessandro it's about "effort", showing young players what's expected.
