Vecsey: Too Much Fraternization in Nets' Camp

New, comments

Peter Vecsey is a basketball purist. He doesn't like players and coaches buddying up on the field of hoops combat, and cites two examples involving the Nets to prove his point. In one, Vince Carter--who he calls sports' "giddiest loser", gleefully wrapped Shaquille O'Neal in a bear hug ... after missing three critical free throws. Shaq and Brian Hill, he writes, were "sighted glad-handing each other after the game as if they're boys" even though O'Neal got Hill fired in Orlando.
