Two of the East's most disappointing teams face off Tuesday in hopes of salvaging a playoff berth from a season that began with championship aspirations. The Nets are two games ahead of the Bulls, and hold the tiebreaker should they finish in a tie for the eighth spot, currently occupied by the Hawks. The Nets will be on the front end of a back-to-back, the Bulls on the back end. Chicago lost Monday night to New Orleans. The Nets have lost 16 of their last 18 on the road, and seven in a row.
