Magic Beat Nets With Late Run

The Nets hung with the Orlando Magic for 3 1/2 quarters Tuesday night at the IZOD Center, but they couldn't close the deal and Orlando came away with a 102-92 win. Boki Nachbar kept the Nets in the game in the first half, hitting 3-of-3 from downtown and 4-of-6 overall, while his teammates shot just 13-of-35. They picked it up in the third quarter however and were up three midway through the fourth. But Hedo Turkoglu led the Magic on a 12-2 run to take control and they finished the game off at the free throw line. Orlando shot 52 percent from the field for the game, while the Nets hit on just 43 percent of their shots. The Nets were able to keep Dwight Howard in check, but Turkoglu and Rashard Lewis combined for 50 points on 15-of-23 shooting. Vince Carter led the Nets with 26 points, while Josh Boone recorded a double-double.
