Minneapolis police confirm they are conducting a criminal investigation into a January 27 incident at a local club involving Richard Jefferson. A club patron accused Jefferson of choking him into unconsciousness, a police spokesman said. Police have requested the man's medical records, but have not yet received them. When police finish investigating, evidence will be presented to the county attorney's office, which will decide if a criminal charge is warranted.
