Nets Drop Another at Home

The Nets' IZOD Center blues continued Friday night with a 95-87 loss to the Charlotte Bobcats. The Nets shot just 40 percent in the first half and trailed 50-41 at the break. Still struggling offensively, they went down 15 midway through the third quarter, but cut the Charlotte lead back down to eight going into the fourth. Devin Harris was quiet most of the game, but led a Nets charge that cut the lead down to two with 3:23 remaining, but they never got a chance to tie it. Harris and Vince Carter combined for just 33 points on 12-for-35 shooting. Carter led the Nets with 19 and Harris contributed 14 points, but only two assists. Brook Lopez had 14 points, 7 rebounds, and two blocks. The Bobcats' Raymond Felton led all scorers with 22 and Emeka Okafor was close behind with 21. Gerald Wallace hit for 16, 13 and six.
