Fast Start Not Enough for Nets

The Nets fell to 4-8 at the IZOD Center Wednesday, losing a big lead to the Utah Jazz. With Utah making just two of their first 17 shots, the Nets jumped out to a 27-5 lead, but they scored just 12 points in the second quarter and had an eight-point margin at halftime. The scoring picked up for both teams in the second half and the Nets still led by five with nine minutes to go in the game. But Utah then went on a 17-4 run to take control and the Nets couldn't recover. The Nets shot just 4-22 from three point range and were outrebounded 53-36. Vince Carter led all scorers with 32 points and Devin Harris, added 21 points and 10 assists, and Brook Lopez finished with 15 points and seven boards. But the Nets did not get much beyond those three. Yi Jianlian didn't score til late in the game and finished with two points and seven rebounds. Ryan Anderson played 9 points and 4 rebounds.
