Home Struggles Continue as Nets Lay an Egg Against Raptors

Vince Carter missed all 13 shots he took from the field, and his teammates weren't much better as the Nets got crushed by the Raptors 101-79 at the IZOD Center Friday night. The Nets scored just 34 points in the first half, but trailed by just six at the break. They cut it down to three early in the third, but a 12-0 Toronto run put the deficit in double-figures for good. Carter finished with just three points, matching his lowest total as a Net, and he did not speak to the media after the game. The Nets shot 31 percent from the field as a team and turned the ball over 19 times. The Nets are now 4-7 at home, with four of the losses coming by 20 points or more. Devin Harris and Yi Jianlian both finished with 14 while Bobby Simmons continued his recent good play, scoring 12. Chris Bosh led six double digit scorers for Toronto with 18.
