The Nets fell to 0-2 at home and 1-2 overall with a 28-point loss at the IZOD Center Tuesday night, victims of some red-hot shooting by the Phoenix Suns. Phoenix shot a scorching 77 percent in the first half and 63 percent for the game, including 12-of-18 from downtown. Twenty Phoenix turnovers kept the Nets relatively close for the first three quarters, but the Nets went more than eight minutes without a score in the fourth, providing for extended garbage time. The Nets shot just 34 percent from the field for the night. Vince Carter led New Jersey with 19 points, while Yi Jianlian added 15 points and eight boards.
