Nets Are Improved ... on Offense Only

The general feeling is that the Nets are making strides with a 6-7 record, a few quality wins in hand and a backcourt that's tough to stop. Looking at per-possession numbers, we see that they're the fourth most improved offense in the league (ranking ninth in the NBA) in fact. But the flip side is that only one other team (Detroit) has fallen off more defensively from last season, and the Nets are the worst defensive team in the league.
