Lakers Blow By Nets in Second Half

The Nets played even with the best team in the league for 29 minutes Tuesday night in L.A. And you might want to stop reading there. With the game tied at 66, the Lakers ended the third quarter with a 24-10 run. They then began the fourth with a 15-2 run to completely blow the game open. The Nets actually kept Kobe Bryant in check (12 points on 5-of-17), but Pau Gasol scored a game-high 26 points and the Lakers' bench was dominant, especially in that second half. L.A.'s 120 point was their season high so far. Devin Harris led the Nets with 21 points and six assists, but shot just 5-of-16 from the field. Brook Lopez recorded his second straight double-double and third in four games, finishing with 17 points, 10 boards and three blocks. Lopez is now averaging 15.0 points and 9.2 rebounds as a starter.
