SI's Chris Mannix has done the math like everyone else and sees what the Knicks have done trading Jamal Crawford and Zach Randolph and why. But he writes after all is said and done, "the Knicks will not be the most appealing option" for Lebron James and other 2010 free agents. "New Jersey will have millions in cap room in 2010 and likely a much stronger talent base". Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski doesn't disagree.
