All precincts are accounted for and Vince Carter has been elected captain of the 2008-09 New Jersey Nets. Lawrence Frank announced the result. "We'll have leadership by committee, but Vince is the captain," Frank said. "(There's) kind of a cross-section of guys on the team. They'll meet and talk about things." Carter was a no-brainer for the job, being the team's acknowledged leader.
