In NBA.com's video preview of the Nets' season, Steve Smith tells Andre Aldridge that while Yi may not have had a great rookie season, playing with the Nets "might give him a better style". Unlike Milwaukee, Yi won't be required to rebound because "they have a lot of guys in the front court". Smith questions whether "Vince Carter wants to embrace rebuilding" and praises Rod Thorn on the Devin Harris trade.
