Lawrence Frank's dream of a defensive team is turning into a nightmare. Each preseason outing seems worse than the one before it. In the last two games, the Nets have given up an average of 116 points. The Nets are also last in the NBA in assists. Part of it, a big part, is due to the team's youth, part to its newness, part to poor communications...and it has the look of a problem not amenable to short term fixes.
