With Vince Carter taking a day off, the Nets' offense was pretty anemic Sunday afternoon in Boston. They shot just 32 percent from the floor and scored just 26 points in the second half, falling to the Celtics 83-66. Ryan Anderson returned to action and led the Nets with 20 points on 5-of-11 from the floor, getting to the line nine times. Yi Jianlian was the only other Net in double-figures, scoring 10 points on 5-of-9 shooting in 23 minutes. The bench, led by Anderson and Sean Williams--who contributed seven points, six boards and three blocks, was more effective than the starters. The Celtics outrebounded the Nets 56-29.
