Slowly but surely, the Nets are moving up in the standings and power rankings. They are fifth in the East after winning five in a row and seven of the last eight. In the rankings, John Schuhmann of NBA.com has them at #13, up three. SI's Marty Burns has them up three as well, to #14. Marc Stein of ESPN is less convinced, putting them at #17, up two. John Hollinger is at #22 writing for ESPN; #17, up four, in the Sun. Go figure. Meanwhile, FOX Sports moves the Nets all the way up to #12, also up four.
