In an interview with his college paper, Sixer GM Ed Stefanski says the proudest moment of his Net career was the 2002 draft of Nenad Krstic and offers insight into the Nets' management style, which may seem risk-averse. Krstic he says is "a real nice basketball player ... I think once he gets healthy, he'll be a real factor." While he isn't unwilling to trade players, he feels "the people you have in your organization, you try your best to mentor them. What a lot of people forget is these are young kids".
