Losses to the Bobcats and Celtics last week didn't help the Nets in the latest power rankings. John Schuhmann of NBA.com dropped the Nets four places, from #13 to #17, noting they still have "long way to go" while Marty Burns of SI dropped them from #14 to #16, adding New Jersey "cant be considered a true contender". Still, Marc Stein of ESPN believes the Nets "may be on to something" with Josh Boone and Sean Williams and kept them at #17. Hollinger brings up the rear at #20.
