Allan Houston wants to stay close to home and play for a contender. That would seem to make the Nets an ideal landing spot for the 36-year-old shooter hoping for a comeback. Not so, says Rod Thorn. While saying Houston is both a "great guy" and a "very, very good player", Thorn added the Nets are set at swingman. Houston is believed to want to ease into his comeback, not signing with a team til near mid-season. He will hold a work out next Tuesday for several interested teams.
