When Nenad Krstic took off last summer to prepare what he called the most important season of his career, he made a promise to Serbian hoops fans. He would play in Eurobasket in 2007 and the Beijing Olympics in 2008. Then, last December, Krstic blew out his ACL and was sidelined not just for the season, but for Eurobasket. Now, he won't have much to do next summer either--other than negotiate a new contract--since Serbia failed to win a game in the European championships and is disqualified from the Olympics. Same goes for Mile Ilic.
