Jefferson, Carter Generosity Getting Little Attention

Charity should be its own reward, but when it's extraordinary, it deserves something other than a perfunctory pat on the back. And there have been few acts of generosity more noteworthy, at least among professional athletes, than those this summer by Richard Jefferson and Vince Carter. In one month, the two have pledged more than $4 million, Jefferson to his alma mater and Carter to a Florida substance abuse clinic. Yet, neither has gotten much attention beyond their hometown media.
