The Nets announced on Friday that Marcus Williams has suffered a fractured fifth metatarsal of his right foot. The team will release further details after Williams undergoes surgery on Monday, but Rod Thorn estimated recovery time at six weeks, which would mean that the second-year point guard will likely miss the first two weeks of the regular season. Williams doesn't know how he broke the bone. He told fans Saturday it was "a little sore".
