Training camp is about to begin, and if the Nets want to contend for the Eastern Conference title, each needs to do things a little differently this season. From the top on down, every player has room for improvement and some, like Nenad Krstic, need more recovery time. Rod Thorn concedes, "there are about five or six teams that are better than us" in the East. As for Allan Houston, the Nets continue to await his decision. Houston did work out with the Nets this week.
