Day 3 of the Jermaine O'Neal trade saga dawns with analysts believing time is on the Pacers' side. While noting O'Neal's comments leave little doubt that he wants out, John Hollinger suggests that the Pacers can whipsaw the Nets and Lakers--plus any other interested parties--right up to the February trade deadline. Larry Bird said basically the same thing in a radio interview--O'Neal's comment hurt, but the Pacers aren't seeking a deal right now. As for O'Neal, he says he was misunderstood.
