In the battle of the unbeatens, Team USA prevailed. Although Argentina outscored the US in the second half, the final score of 91-76 made the game seem closer than it actually was. The Americans jumped out to a 15-point in the first quarter, led by Kobe Bryant's shooting and Jason Kidd's passing. Kidd had seven assists and two rebounds in 18 minutes. The US now proceeds to the semifinals Saturday, where it will face Puerto Rico. A win then guarantees a trip to Beijing next year.
