James Posey agreed to sign with the Celtics Saturday after considering an offer from the Nets. The Nets were at a disadvantage, having only the $1.8 million LLE to spend. The Celtics offered Posey a $6.3 million deal, $3 million this season with a player option for a second year. His old team, the Heat, didn't seem that interested in resigning him. Pat Riley had criticized Posey publicly last year for his lack of conditioning and recently said he did not have offensive skills.
