It's conventional wisdom to call the Nets old, based primarily on the ages of their two best players, Jason Kidd (34) and Vince Carter (30). But during the off-season, the Nets have lost Cliff Robinson (40), Mikki Moore (31) and Eddie House (29) while adding Sean Williams (20), Jamaal Magloire (29) and Robert Hite (23). As a result, the roster's average age has dropped to a little more than 25 years old. The team seems to realize the old guard will ultimately have to be replaced.
