The Nets announced Monday morning that Lawrence Frank has signed a contract extension. "Lawrence has done an outstanding job," Rod Thorn said in announcing the extension. The deal reportedly gives Frank two more years (at $4.2 million and $4.4 million) beyond the 2007-08 season. In a conference call and WFAN interview, Frank said trade talks have cooled and the competition for starting spots upfront is wide open. He added the Nets intend to add a guard "and maybe another player".
