Fred Kerber, reporting on the Nets' off-season makeover, lays out yet another attempt by the Nets to deal Richard Jefferson for a big man. The Post writer says the Nets were almost part of a three-team deal that would sent Jefferson to the Bobcats, Lamar Odom to the Nets and Gerald Wallace to the Lakers. The deal, which was close a few weeks ago, was killed by the 'Cats Michael Jordan. Kerber adds an RJ for Jermaine O'Neal deal has "flatlined" with the addition of Jamaal Magloire.
