Mikki Moore got what he wanted: a bigger contract than the Nets would offer him. Moore reportedly received the full MLE of $5.4 million and a three-year deal. Two and a half of the three are guaranteed. Moore was offered a starting salary of around $3 million and a three-year deal by the Nets. Moore rejected that deal and the Nets pulled it. Moore, who averaged 10 and 5 and led the NBA in field goal percentage, is a nine-year veteran. His departure opens the way for the Nets to pursue other big men, Jamaal Magloire apparently being their top choice.
