The Nets announced Thursday that they will hold a press conference Friday at 11:30 a.m. to announce "a major free agent signing", presumably that of Vince Carter. The "Press Conference/Nets Event" will be televised live on YES and will be attended by kids from youth organizations in Newark and Brooklyn.
