Vince Carter opted out of his contract Friday, a day before the deadline...but expect Carter and the Nets to announce a new deal as early as Sunday. That's the first day teams are permitted to negotiate. Officially, he can't re-sign until July 11. Carter's new deal is expected to be between $60-$65 million and run for four years. The Nets still have not decided whether to offer Eddie House a new deal.
