John Lucas almost lost his career and life to drugs. Since overcoming them, he has made turning around young lives his mission. Sometimes, it works and sometimes, as in the case of Eddie Griffin, it doesn't. Now he is advising the Nets and others to take a chance on Sean Williams, the fiercesome but troubled BC shotblocker. He argues Sean Williams is no worse a risk than Marcus Williams was. The Nets, Sixers and Warriors watched Williams work out yesterday in Houston.
