If Sean Williams hadn't been thrown off his Boston College team for a second time this season, he wouldn't be available at #17. He has lottery level talent, averaging better than five blocks a game. But because of a history of problems with marijuana, Williams will likely last. So Rod Thorn and Ed Stefanski will travel to Houston soon to work out the 6'-10" center. If he impresses, he could be the Nets' pick. Meanwhile, the Nets see a Carter extension as very likely and a Jefferson trade for Zach Randolph very unlikely.
