Vince Carter's efforts to help his hometown and do a lot of charitable work throughout the country has won him a special award from Florida's governor: the state's Point of Light award. "Vince has used his talents and success to improve the lives of others," Gov. Charlie Crist said in a statement. "His contributions bring opportunities and inspire the youth in his community to pursue a well rounded education."
