Ed Stefanski says the Nets are looking for "athletic big men". So he was in Athens this weekend, along with 30 other NBA types for the Euroleague Final Four. The player best fitting the Nets need in the two game event is Tiago Splitter, a 7-foot Brazilian who the Nets have scouted before. Splitter, in spite of a lacklustre performance, is seen as lottery level talent. Buyout issues could push him down to Nets territory. Splitter's team, Tau, and the Nets worked out a deal last summer for Zoran Planinic.
