Nets Win Thriller to Finish Off Raptors

It wasn't pretty and it didn't come easy, but the Nets defeated the Raptors in a thrilling Game 6 at the Meadowlands Friday night. Richard Jefferson scored the winning basket with 8.3 seconds on the clock and then stole a pass intended for Chris Bosh on the other end as time ran out to secure the victory. The game was tight from start to finish with the Nets taking control with a 32-point third quarter. But Toronto hung tough and took the lead on a Bosh jumper with 47 seconds to go. After a pair of misses from Vince Carter and Bosh, Lawrence Frank called RJ's number with 12.8 seconds to go in the game. He took the ball on the right wing, drove baseline, and when Bosh cut him off, he spun back to the hoop and layed it in. After a Raptors time out, RJ came up big again by stealing the Jose Calderon's pass to Bosh. RJ led all scorers with 24 points for the night, getting to the line 12 times. Jason Kidd finished with 18 points, 15 assists and eight boards, which gave him a triple-double average for the series. Vince Carter and Boki Nachbar pitched in 21 and 15 points respectively. On the other end, Bosh shot just 8-of-22, but the point guard combo of Calderon and T.J. Ford combined for 33 points on 13-of-22.
