Nets Make Best and Worst List for 2001 Draft Moves

June 27, 2001 was the day the Nets fortunes were remade. That afternoon, Rod Thorn made the deal bringing Jason Kidd to the Nets. Then, that night, Thorn traded the rights to Eddie Griffin for Richard Jefferson, Jason Collins and Brandon Armstrong. The trade, writes NBADraft.net is the fourth "most impactful draft day trade of the last ten years". But using it to pick Armstong was the fourth "worst pick of the last ten years" because of who was drafted later...Tony Parker and Gilbert Arenas.
