Marc Berman of the New York Post writes that the Knicks might have interest in Vince Carter should he opt out of his contract at the end of next month. But the Knicks, like any other team, would have to agree to Carter's request for a $60 million contract over three years and make a deal with the Nets. The Knicks had offered Channing Frye, Malik Rose and Jerome James for Carter at the trade deadline. It's not likely that would get the deal done now either.
