Nets Are Passing Fools

Wrap-arounds, no-looks, alley-oops. They were all on display Wednesday night as the Nets passed their way to a 101-86 win over the Hawks at the Meadowlands. The Nets had 28 assists on 35 field goals. Jason Kidd finished with 10 dimes, Vince Carter 8 and Marcus Williams 6. Boki Nachbar scored 26 points, second highest of his career while posting a career high seven three-pointers. It was Nachbar who turned the game around in the second quarter. After the Hawks made a run that put them ahead by five...and led to a lot of booing, Nachbar scored on a roll to the basket, then added two three's in a 20-2 run that ended the first half. Carter finished with 24, Mikki Moore with 14 and 9 and Josh Boone with 13 and 8. Salim Stoudamire led the Hawks with 19. The Nets have now won four of the last five and are now a game ahead of the Magic in seventh place and within four games of Wizards who lost Gilbert Arenas to a knee injury.
